The large chapel like building, was a cinema called the Hippodrome , and the college like building was the Royal British Legion club.easington colliery.

Comment: Large building to the left is the former British Legion and the large building to the right is the former Hippodrome cinema. Rutherfor View is now standing on the site that was the Hippodrome and what was the empty plot between the Hippodrome and the Legion.
